A Report on Human Rights and Climate Change, prepared by the Global Network for the Study of Human Rights and the Environment, has been completed and submitted to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, Dr David Boyd. He will draw on this Report and others when preparing his fuller report on Human Rights and Climate Change. That Report will be released in early September 2019 and submitted to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
This GNHRE report (July 2019) draws on expert submissions from around the globe, including (as you will see in its Part Two) materials and analysis from the Advisory Opinion issued this spring by the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal Session on Human Rights, Fracking and Climate Change. The GNHRE Report can be seen here.
